The LIFE-IP 4 NATURA actions related to Large Carnivore’s management in Greece, were presented at the 7th Regional Workshop of the EU Large Carnivore Platform that was held in Budva, Montenegro, on November 6, 2018.

The workshop “Coexistence between people and large carnivores: transboundary cooperation and preparing the ground for a platform in the Dinara-Pindos-Balkan region” was organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) (represented by WWF Adria) and the Large Carnivore Initiative for Europe (IUCN-LCIE) in partnership with EuroNatur and Parks Dinarides and the Center for Protection and Research of Birds in Montenegro (CZIP).

The Status of Large Carnivores in Greece, National and International legal framework, Management of Large Carnivores and Monitoring of LCs, were presented by G. Mertzanis, Scientific Coordinator of Callisto.

Mrs Alexandra Kavvadia, Project Manager of the LIFE-IP 4 NATURA project, was also invited by the EU Large Carnivore Platform Secretariat to present the project’s actions concerning the management of Large Carnivores in Greece.
