{"id":1147,"date":"2018-10-26T15:28:12","date_gmt":"2018-10-26T15:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.edozoume.gr\/2018\/10\/26\/life-ip-4-natura-at-the-esp-regional-conference\/"},"modified":"2018-10-26T13:10:05","modified_gmt":"2018-10-26T13:10:05","slug":"life-ip-4-natura-at-the-esp-regional-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/edozoume.gr\/en\/life-ip-4-natura-at-the-esp-regional-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"LIFE-IP 4 NATURA at the ESP Regional Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the frame of the ESP Regional Conference that was held in San Sebastian from 15<sup>th<\/sup> to 19<sup>th<\/sup> October 2018, Mr. Panayiotis Dimopoulos presented a study that forms part of the Action A.3 of the LIFE-IP 4 NATURA Project, as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/edozoume.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Literature-Review_ESP-EU-presentation_16.10.2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an outline of the project<\/a> as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Dimopoulos explained how the outcomes of the study, entitled: \u201cA multidisciplinary critical review of ecosystem services studies in Greece: approaches, shortcomings and the pathway to implementation\u201d, will facilitate the efficient implementation of ecosystem services assessments in Greece.<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed out that the implementation of MAES in Greece started in 2014 and since then an impressive progress has been made, with Greece now being among the countries with the most rapid progress. However, there are still major knowledge and data gaps on ecosystem services in the country; know-how on specific methods, tools and practices is still to be developed.
