The 40 best photos that were selected by the jury of the “Click at Nature” photo competition are displayed in a digital photo gallery.
The 2nd photo competition was organized by WWF Greece in collaboration with PHOTOgraphos magazine, as part of the LIFE-IP 4 NATURA project.
The jury of the competition consists of the photographer, director and documentary producer Vicky Markolefas, the forester and nature photographer Anastasios Sakoulis, the nature photographer Vassilis Sykas, Dimitris Zantzas, digital content manager of WWF Greece and Panagiotis Kaldis, journalist as the representative of the PHOTOgraphos magazine.
Greece is one of the richest countries in terms of biodiversity, not only at the EU level but also on a global level. Thousands of different species of plants and animals, many of which are found nowhere else in the world, as well as dozens of different types of habitats, make up the impressive puzzle of Greek biodiversity.
The effective protection of our vast natural wealth concerns each and every one, and this is why highlighting the importance of Natura 2000 protected areas can also be everyone’s business. This was the aim of the organizers of the 2nd “Click at nature” photo competition, the only one dedicated exclusively to the Natura 2000 areas of Greece, which is to be held annually.

The response of the public was impressive, just like last year, as the number of entries exceeded all expectations. Professional and amateur photographers sent photos that capture just a small part of the beauty and richness of Greek nature. The entries were well above 1,500.
